Team
Solution Engineering was formed in 1996 with the intent of providing high quality software
engineering and development services to customers throughout the world.
Solution Engineering is a software engineering firm run by engineers who pride
themselves on expertise derived from broad experience. This experience includes
developing applications on a wide variety of platforms and operating systems for
manufacturing, e-commerce, internet/intranet, embedded systems, education, and
aerospace/avionics systems and simulations.
Solution Engineering provides complete support for the software product development
cycle, from product definition and requirements analysis through integration and
test. Solution Engineering's personnel incorporate established design and development tools
and techniques in their software development process. Our team members have all
been involved in the development of "Fail Safe" critical software that
has instilled superior expectations for the results of our work. We pride
ourselves on our quality.
Recent clients include:
Mr. Leo Wilson
President
Mr. Wilson, founder and president, has over 20 years of experience in
technical team leadership and management in the computer software industry. Prior
to founding Solution Engineering (previously called L-Systems), Mr. Wilson was
employed by Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc., where he provided consulting
services to the aerospace industry.
Mr. Wilson has been involved both as a project manager and as a technical
lead in the algorithm development and implementation of several major successful
software projects. These projects include aerospace simulation and aircraft
flight test analysis; real time signal processing for
aircraft detection and guidance in an innovative new landing system; and material
optimization for the architectural glass manufacturing industry.
Mr. Wilson’s technical involvement in these projects is based on a background
of undergraduate and graduate level classes in applied mathematics from Portland
State University and the University of California, Los Angeles. His research
and application emphasis has been in Kalman filtering, data fusion techniques,
optimization methods, neural networks, and fuzzy systems.
Mr. Daniel Bridenbecker
Vice President
Mr. Bridenbecker has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and
project management. Prior to joining Solution Engineering, Mr. Bridenbecker held the
position of Software Project Manager for Data I/O
where he managed the development of the company’s next generation device programmer.
Mr. Bridenbecker’s software development projects include a
client-server application using SOAP for interprocess communication and
Java Web Start for low deployment overhead; a touch-screen
user interface on Windows NT to control an automated gluing system; the embedded
programming software for a next generation universal device programmer; both a
prototype and a detailed avionics simulation for analysis of avionics subsystems
during air-to-air combat; and avionics analysis tools that include statistical
analysis and animation.
Mr. Bridenbecker holds a BS degree from Lewis and Clark College in Mathematics and Physics
and is a SUN Certified Java 2 Programmer. He has also completed
several graduate level math classes at Georgia State University. His areas of
expertise include project management, object oriented design, and graphical
user interface design in multiple environments.
Dr. James S. Johnson
PhD
Dr. Johnson has 25 years experience in algorithm development, SW design and
implementation. Prior to joining Solution Engineering Dr. Johnson
participated in a broad range of projects both as a consultant and as an
employee.
Dr. Johnson's project background includes threat tracking and valuation
simulation for the BMD missile defense system, remote calibration of phased
array antenna on the Spaceway communication satellite, GPS tracking loop
development used in the GPS ground segment, real time kinematic GPS baseline
determination, automated RF measurement systems for TEMPEST and RFI, flight
simulation, Kalman filtering used in target tracking, freight train air
brake simulation, and others.
Dr. Johnson holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of California,
Berkeley and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Mr. Daniel Allen
Software Engineer
Mr. Allen has over 5 years of experience in Programming and Software Development.
Prior to joining SEI, he worked as an intern at Cray, Inc and part-time at GE while
attending the University of Washington.
Mr. Allen's projects include testing and debugging the Fortran-90 compiler for Cray's MTA
supercomputer, developing a GPS-Enabled radar detector, and other academic work.
Mr. Allen holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle.
His area of expertise include gate-level and VHDL hardware design, object-oriented programming and
design, software testing/analysis, GUI design using Swing & MFC, and O/S design.
Mr. Alex Barchet
Software Engineer
Mr. Barchet has over 4 years of experience in Programming and Software Development.
Prior to joining SEI, he worked as a simulation software engineer at Raytheon where he
was responsible for developing, integrating, and testing a real time all digital simulation,
which closed the loop around an external electronics unit.
Mr. Barchet’s software development projects include missile simulations, automated machine
control applications, as well as academic projects that included control and simulation of
various robotics.
Mr. Barchet holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
His studies focused on robotics and embedded systems design.
